TYPICAL USES / APPLICATIONS for GRADE

Typically used for: horticultural applications such as a soilless grow media (hydro and aquaponics grow systems), containerized plants (cacti, succulents, bonsai) and in engineered soil blends. Also used for: moisture and odor control in confined animal spaces as well as aggregate for lightweight concrete blocks, crafted stone veneers, and Pumice-Crete®.

Hess Pumice Grade 3/8 x #8 MN [Mine Grade] contains some fines. RIGHT TOP: Photo shows a corner of a form-cast Pumice-Crete building using 3/8 x #8 MN grade pumice aggregate and Portland cement. RIGHT: Grade used as aggregate for casting lightweight CMUs.
